shipreck_sRIFLE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)- A man, a teenager and a seven-year-old were killed in an early morning crash on I-70 near Rifle when their SUV hit a bear, according to Garfield County authorities.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70, near mile marker 91, which isn't far from the Rifle exit.
Colorado State Patrol said seven people were in the car; two adult men, two adult women and three children. An unknown number of the passengers were thrown from the car.
The Garfield County Coroner's office identified three people killed in the crash, all from New Castle. Kimberly Hernandez, 7, Brizeyda (aka Brizeida) Hernandez, 15, and Eugenio Hernandez Altamirano, 63 all died as a result of the crash.
Kimberly and her grandfather, Eugenio were pronounced dead at the scene. Kimberly's sister, Brizeyda died at the hospital.
According to the Coroner's office, all the occupants in the van were related. The other victims were taken to the hospital, but their conditions aren't known.
I-70 was closed for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.

Я слышал о похожих последствиях, когда сгребли медведя. Но там все интереснее было. Его снес большой пикап и вышиб на встречку, где косолапый по балистической траектории ударил легковушку. В которой и погибли люди. А тут что-то как-то совсем печально. Перевернулся он от удара, что ли?
